Plot:
Two brothers, part of a border-recognition treaty detachment after a very long war, confront and deal with the wartime acts of brutality and violence of the older brother. The older brother has been part of this war for 25 years; the younger brother has been studying to become a professor and has been comparatively sheltered from the horrors. The younger brother comes face to face with his older brother’s moral deterioration, and, disturbed by the older brother’s acts of war, eventually persuades (and forces) the older brother to completely atone for those actions. The amount of spookiness achieved with no special effects other than blood, is truly remarkable, and a lesson for Hollywood. And in the end, the viewer is left with an uncertainty as to who must pay for sins, and why, and whether anyone, ever, is truly innocent.

A group of embattled humans fend off hordes of walking dead in a secluded farmhouse in Western Pennsylvania. However, interpersonal feuding between the people in a house proves just as deadly as the zombie attack. The story follows the same essential story of the original Night of the Living Dead, but with slight alterations. Ben (Tony Todd) and Cooper (Tom Towles) shoot and wound each other. Ben stumbles down to the basement as the zombies finally enter into the house. Ben then limps to a chair and finds keys to the gas pump, which was destroyed when Tom, desperate to get gasoline, tries to shoot the lock and misses, causing the station to blow up, killing himself and Judy. Ben then spits his last cigarette out of his mouth and begins laughing at the irony of the news on the radio playing next to them that they have just now discovered that flesh-eating zombies have attached as the mass of undead bang on the door. Later, when Barbara returns to the house with a Zombie Hunting Posse, she realizes Ben has become a zombie. A member of the posse then shoots him. Barbara is standing in mourning looking at Ben's corpse when Harry (who climbed into the attic and did not turn into a zombie) grabs her arm and says "You came back, you came back" with an extended hand of friendship. Barbara swiftly shoots him in the head. When two of the posse come upstairs to check why shots were fired, Barbara says "There is another one for the fire". Barbara (Patricia Tallman), a frightened, nearly catatonic character in the first film, is stronger in this version, and is the only survivor from the group in the farmhouse.

L'uomo la donna e la bestia (Man, Woman and Beast ) (1977) - Alberto Cavallone

About:
"L'uomo, la donna e la bestia" is what one could call an avant-garde film - it has something of Pasolini and of the Buñuel of "Un chien andalou".There are many ways to interpret this film, not the least of them the political/religious view, but my piece of advice is that you just let yourself flow with the images and sounds.If I were to classify this film in few words, I would say that "L'uomo, la donna e la bestia" is a sexual/political/existential film. It's a typical product of the 70s. I doubt that a film like this could be made nowadays. From IMDB user

Mystery Train (1989) - Jim Jarmuch

Best Artistic Contribution Winner, Nominated for The Golden Palm, at Cannes

'Mystery Train' is probably the most entertaining, interesting and understated of indie-fave Jim Jarmusch's early work. The films portrayal of Elvis' birthplace of Memphis, possibly one of the most featureless, gritty and desolate representations of urban America ever committed to film, is a deceptively clever and substantial take on American subcultures.

Without doubt, it is the first of the films three vignettes that makes the film stand out a little more than Jarmusch's other quirky offerings. Two Japanese tourists besotted with the King's legacy and 1950's American retro-culture in general, decide to visit Memphis, where they experience the superficiality his iconic status has been reduced to. The over-excitable and optimistic teenage girl, along with her more austere, cooler-than-cool boyfriend, are equally unimpressed with what the town has to offer. It's quite impressive that 15 years after its release, Jarmusch's depiction of alternative culture manages to capture the pretentious but proudly on-the-edges attitudes probably more apparent in today's retro-obsessed climate than ever before.

Jarmusch's signature eclectic cast is another reason for repeated viewing, the subtleties of, in particular, Steve Buscemi's stuttering and nervous performance, are worth looking out for. As is the linking theme of Elvis' ghost in all three vignettes, a brilliant example of how to take a simple theme, and continually parodize its implications until its every mention leads to some sort of in-joke. The cool, laid-back pace of the film allows the humour to hit you unexpectedly, and the timing is often genius. Very, very, very watchable.

Vampire in Vegas.2009.DVDRip

It has been a while since I've seen a (horror)movie that was this bad! This really has no redeeming qualities, the story is awful, just like the actors, the visual effects, etc, etc. Tony Todd is not in his Candyman mood, here he is just plain bad. All the other actors are even worse, all of them people I've never heard of (and probably won't in the future if this is a reference...). The story is something we've seen many times before (and much better), It's you typical 'Vampire wants to find a cure to be able to survive daylight'-type of films. You are better of watching 'Zombie Strippers' than this piece of garbage!
